Moments with Corum: Coffee Shops & Restaurants, Elizabeth Street NYC

Corum-Watches-1If you have been reading my 10 Things I Learned & Loved This Weekend series you will know how much I love to spend my free time hunting for colour and #MakeYouSmileStyle places in my city. Since moving to New York City a month or so ago it has been so fun to explore the city for places that, well, make me smile! One of my favourite discoveries is Elizabeth Street in Manhattan’s Nolita district because it’s packed full of colour. With an outfit to match my new Heritage Bubble watch from Corum, I headed over to the area to explore it in more detail. Click through after the jump to see all the colourful spots I found, and how well they match the beautiful blues of my new watch!

Corum-Watches-2STREET ART
As my Instagram feed reveals, I am more than partial to colourful street art and walls! So I was delighted to discover that Elizabeth Street starts with an incredible piece of street art by Brooklyn artist, Scott Albrecht. The piece is called ‘Nothing Is Defined’ and I felt it fitted perfectly with the idea of time and how really, time is only defined by what we as individuals choose to define it by. Plus, the blues paired so well together it was crying out for a #MakeYouSmileStyle snap!Corum-Watches-3TACOMBI
After a quick snap in front of the street art, it was time for lunch at Tacombi Nolita. I was immediately taken by the bright and cheerful colour scheme of blue and yellow – not to mention the charming strung bulbs!Corum-Watches-4My Heritage Bubble watch turned out to be the perfect accessory to wear to lunch as it matched the restaurant colour scheme perfectly – even my waitress commented on how well it fitted in with the surroundings!Corum-Watches-5With delicious tacos (and lashings of guacamole, obviously!) enjoyed it was time to head to my next stop on Elizabeth Street for something sweet…Corum-Watches-6A.B.BIAGI
A short stroll from Tacombi lies a store of perfectly #MakeYouSmileStyle that it’s hard not to literally smile when you see it. A.B.Biagi’s bright yellow store front catches your eye from down the street and invites you in for some tasty gelato.Corum-Watches-7As I sat on the small bench outside enjoying the unseasonably mild temperatures in the city (it feels like early fall vs. mid winter!), I realised that once again my watch matched the painted floor outside the store!Corum-Watches-8One of my favourite things about Elizabeth Street is how all the restaurants, stores and coffee shops that line it act as a colourful contrast to the monochromatic palette of the city that surrounds it. Everywhere you look there are bright bursts of colour that brighten even the greyest of days. I’ve made a vow to myself to take a walk down here whenever I’m having a bad day!Corum-Watches-9TOMS ROASTING CO.
The final stop on my walk down Elizabeth Street was Toms Roasting Co. for a coffee to refuel. Do you have any favourite spots on Elizabeth Street that I should check out?
