Christmas is almost here so I’ve teamed up with Chambord to style a DIY festive bar cart that’s perfect for celebrating the Holidays in sparkly festive style! I headed out into New York City to pull together bar cart items inspired by Chambord’s stylish bottle, and named the overall look ‘Festive Fiesta’ to encourage celebration of the everyday, no matter the reason. Click through to see how to recreate this stylish and gently quirky DIY festive bar cart!
The inspiration for my Festive Fiesta look came from the Chambord bottle itself: the peppering of holiday red colours are a nod to the rich red hue of the raspberry liqueur, while the metallic finishes reference Chambord’s golden band and bottle top. I made sure to include a posy of fresh festive blooms as part of the DIY bar cart makeover. Not only does a grouping of red winter berries, baby’s breath and eucalyptus fill the room with holiday scent and colour, but it softens the harder lines of the bar cart, too. If you don’t have space for a full vase try filling a spare glass tumbler with the stems – I did this with a polka dot design to give the look a playful feel.Another important element of this festive bar cart look is a dash of whimsy. I added this via a rose gold squirrel nutcracker that not only brings charm but practicality, too! After all, whether nuts or olives, I always like to serve a cocktail with a bowl of nibbles. One trick to help your bar cart look fun and fabulous even when it’s not in use is to get creative with your storage solutions. For example, why not fill the ice bucket with napkins and tea towels to stop them cluttering up the overall display. Also, consider using a large serving platter or tray as a way to group items together – from bar tools to glassware – so that everything is easily to hand and can be carried to and from the bar cart.My owl cocktail shaker pairs perfectly with the Chambord bottle, don’t you think? LOVE! I’m pretty sure that these two would end up kissing under the mistletoe at the Christmas party because they go so well together! To make it super easy to DIY your own, I created this gif (above) that shows all of the 11 steps I took to style this festive bar cart. Happy styling! To give the bar cart more prominence in the space I added items with height that command visual attention, such as the trio of bottle brush metallic trees, and the owl cocktail shaker. Peppering your bar cart with conversational pieces like these will make it the star of the space this Holiday season! After all, ’tis the season to smile so a #MakeYouSmileStyle bar cart makes total sense! What are your favourite elements of my Chambord inspired festive bar cart? What are your top bar cart styling ideas? Happy Holidays, everyone!
